We are all so very excited to join forces with the Central Arizona Youth Football League(CAYFL). Our inaugural year we are teaming up with Gilbert Football (GFA), with great expectations for our 2010 season when we will be up and running in full force.
We are extremely dedicated and committed to the concept of “Kids First” football; it’s the reason we decided to join forces with CAYFL. I promise the following: we will strive every day to create an open and safe environment for children to learn all that the great game of football has to teach us. Each child, regardless of ability and/or experiance, will have an equal opportunity to play within a structured organization where AIA high school rules are taught and enforced. Football provides us all; players, coaches and parents alike, many different lessons which apply on and off the field. Those that join the Mesa Youth Football family are expected to be leaders on and off the field and serve as positive role models.
We will provide an opportunity for all that wish to join our family, through an extensive network of committed and selfless volunteers. As a member of the MYF family, we expect each and everyone who participates in our program to “give back” by volunteering to some capacity. Remember, we have no employees, just dedicated volunteers. In closing, having fun is top of our list! If we didn’t have fun and enjoy surrounding ourselves with friends and family to play, why would we do it. We know, and embrace, football is so much more than winning or losing. It’s about learning how to come together as a team, respecting each other and ourselves, working our hardest to achieve our personal best and dealing with the outcomes in an appropriate manner.
