Their goal is to inspire 1,000,000 (that’s right… 1 million) people to volunteer one day in exchange for one day in one of their theme parks. If you would like to learn more about how you can get your FREE day at your favorite Disney theme park you can check it out here.

Mesa Soldiers produce 4th Shutout

Posted by Clint Parsley On September - 26 - 2009

The Mesa Soldiers faced off against the Dawgs of Gilbert today at Highland Junior High in Gilbert. The Mesa Soldiers coming into the game 3 – 0 with 3 shutouts appeared a little over confident and the scoreboard reflected it as they finished the first quarter 0 – 0.

Mesa went into the 2nd quarter with possession on the Dawgs 19 and within scoring range. Joseph Romero [23] rushed for 8 yards across two plays putting the Soldiers at 4th and 2 from the 11 (penalties pushed the Soldiers back some)  ; Matthew Schoonmaker [7] brought the ball to the 1 yard line on a keeper for the Soldiers 1st down. Schoonmaker [7] kept it again and punched it in for the Soldiers first touchdown. Read the rest of this entry »

Soldiers support Red Mountain

Posted by Clint Parsley On September - 11 - 2009

There was no shortage of support from the Mesa Soldiers at tonight’s
varsity game. The Red Mountain Mt. Lions received the kick off and

Marana’s offense the Mountain Lions of Red Mountain hit the endzone
again and were up 13-0 within the first 6 minutes.

The weather (lightning) caused a mandatory Read the rest of this entry »

Isaiah Wood cleared

Posted by Clint Parsley On September - 9 - 2009

Isaiah Wood made a trip to the hospital on Tuesday night. An injury during practice had him dazed with neck and head pain. After spending a few hours at the hospital the doctors cleared him and sent him home.

Isaiah visited his family doctor today to make sure all was well, the family doctor said he should not have contact for a week. Being the Soldier that he is, Isaiah will be at practice on Thursday and will be at our game on Saturday for support.

We are all very glad to hear that Isaiah is doing well and look forward to his return next week.

Season Opener

Posted by Clint Parsley On September - 5 - 2009

The Mesa Soldiers opened their season against the SEV Destroyers today at noon. I was not able to physically be at the game (I’m in Showlow for my son’s game today) but was kept up to date throughout the game.

I was told that the boys came out fighting and came to win. Scoring fairly quickly in the first quarter and kept it going for the rest of the game. The offense put up 20 points while the defense kept the SEV Destroyers from ever reaching the Read the rest of this entry »
